I did the tripple app method and only got approved for one card ( the card I wanted least), I got declined for the other cards for the reason " Too many recently opened accounts were recorded on your
credit bureau report."
I only have 2 other citi cards which were opened this year and 4 hits in the past 2 years on my equifax report. I called reconsideration a few times and not much luck. Does anyone have any experience with their reconsider dept ? They apparently can't close out old cards to open new ones as chase does.

So basically once your declined from citi theres no way to get approved...

see the citi 75k thread, between my dad and I- I definitely had enough....My dad got declined for both at first bec they closed a card of his 10 yrs ago due to inactivity. They had to research it after I called a bunch of times and only then realized his account should not have been flagged. And for myself, well they 4506-t'd me after I spent $1500 on both cards in one shot, and although I sent the form in, they still cannot confirm they received it, nor are they willing or capable of calling me to update me etc. Meanwhile I cant close the cards myself as they wont let, and theyre inactive. Go figure.

nah we both got the points for both the amex and visa, both of my dads cards were approved, and Im just waiting for them to see I actually made a $1 last year and reported taxes (They said they dont care how much is listed on it).

Hard to believe they'll accept a return with $1 a year. Besides, doesn't a $1 return raise flags with the IRS?

I was kidding, I actually asked them if my app income and personal tax return have to match as on the app they requested annual household income etc. They said no as long as you have one youre good, to which i replied, so if its for $1.99 youll reactivate my cards? what a stupid bank. To which there was no response
