Car robbery
« on: January 14, 2018, 01:17:13 AM »
I was in Manhattan tonight and thought I locked my car and when I came back my tablet and JBL speaker where stolen
My question is do I have any cc protection?
(I know my JBL I bought it on my BP so that’s covered...)

Step one- make a police report. Step 2 ask ur cc company. Seems simple to me. Good luck!

You got me scared when I saw the title. I imagined someone might have pointed a weapon while you were stopped at a red light.

After reading your post I realized that this title is in regular english rather than English.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Carjacking
Wouldn’t that mean that someone actually took the car, as opposed to just rob someone who can’t escape because he’s trapped in a car?

In any event, what’s the point of discussing English definitions, when the post is in a different language (called regular english). A translation of the title to English would probably be “Car Burglary”.

'Things were stolen from my car' would also be more accurate.

But since there's nothing more to say to the OP, we're allowing ourselves to ruminate on nothing.

CC might not cover items stolen from a car.
Never ever leave any valuables in a car...
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Homeowners/auto insurance more likely cover, but with your deductible you may not get anything.

Indeed. Can’t stress this enough. Definitely don’t leave it visible, which is likely to make your car a target, but even if stowed away it isn’t safe.
