If it doesn't say the gender just pronounce the name different ..like sara pronounce sah ra or something. When my mother calls and says her name is Michal they always pause for a minute waiting to hear a guy called michael. They won't say a word.

Most wont ask the boy/girl question because if they are wrong it is embarrassing.  I just use my highest pitch voice in the beginning of the call and gradually lower it...they never notice.

It's the time of the week when I wake up long-sleeping threads...

Remember when this was a big issue? When you called a company about your DW's account and you hoped they didn't realize that you sounded like a male?

Well, I stopped trying to disguise my voice, and no one has had the audacity to challenge me. Thanks to today's woke world, this is no longer an issue.
