I agree with that 100%, with Amazon you're risking account closures of both accounts.

what's the risk, you can just create another account?

I was banned for abuse with another service, and accounts with any address/email/phone number etc. combination were all shut down.

Question about Jos A Bank:

if we do something like their buy one, get the 2nd for $77 deal, how does the returns work if you're only returning one?

Try telling them that you were now solicited for the better offer.

Either social media should work, I chose twitter.

You can try calling, YMMV.
I did Facebook and begged for it and got it! She actually said that since I go the 10/15 offer she would immediately post 5k to make up the difference, and in 6 months if I didn't spend 15k but did 4.5k it would be manually posted.

Note that there isn't even a refundable option on CO.com,

I can confirm that there is an option to refund on CO.com. I used that option and got a refund back on the card within a week or so. I did this all online without picking up the phone. Was I just lucky? The fare rules clearly said "fully refundable"

That's not what I meant at all.
When searching for a flight there is no option to only search for refundable flights.  Even if you click unrestricted there are tickets in some markets that still carry a penalty to refund.
Read the fare rules carefully purchase as one mistake on a non-refundable ticket or forgetting to cancel a ticket will cost you more than you will make playing the game for a very long time.

Ahh...ok. I see what you mean. Once I purchase the ticket I can see whether or not there is a refund option in my reservation online. Can't I check that and if there is an issue, cancel the ticket right away (you have 24hrs with no penalty, right?)

Nope not at all.
There's always a refund button within 24 hours.  You need to read the fare rules before buying the ticket.
