Right now I have unlimited with a plan "family mobile" by walmart, but I have to pay for data (some 40 bucks for 2 gb). I like an android phone, and unlimited minutes (or at least 3000 minutes) shared with my wife. I would take at least 2 gb of data...

So:
2 phones
at least 3000 minutes
2 gb data
Android.

I read about the new value plan by t mobile and really like them, but I wonder if I can find something cheaper on sprint...

Well with Sprint you can get in on the Everything Plus Referral Program which would give you a plan as follows:

Everything Plus™ Data Family - 3200 Shared Anytime Minutes at $149.99 a month including 2 lines, unlimited data and text.

Android phones are readily available on Sprint for as low $19.99, but if you want any of the top of the line devices you will have to pay $10 per line for the "Premium Data add-on".

Everything Data Family 1500 plan ($129) might suffice, considering it includes AnyMobile. OP: What % of your 3k minutes are  to US based mobile phones?

True, if that is the case though the OP should go for the Everything Plus™ Data Family - 1600 Shared Anytime Minutes for $109.99

Ah, nice.

If I could switch to that plan without losing my other perks/discounts I totally would.

That is insane! I can get T mobile top of the line android without having to add 10 bucks per line.

This is what I can get:

Unlimited talk and text
2 gb of data (than the data slowed down greatly)
For $99

That $99 is for 1 line though, no?

What about the page plus unlimited plan? For 44.99 you can get unlimited talk n text, + 20 gb of data. I think this is one of the best plans out there!

PP is only 20MB not 20GB... very unusable for an android smartphone.

No! That's for 2 (but you have to bring your own phone, which I have anyways).

Go to t mobile and look for the "value" plan. They just went live on Sunday

Very interesting... looks good but keep in mind that it is 2gb shared between both lines... Android phones love to use data at all times so just keep an eye on it...

The other thing is you are in a 2 year contract and they aren't subsidizing the phones at all. Looks like they are taking the money from the subsidize and giving you a cheaper rate plan, or something like that. I have never seen a carrier give you a contact for bringing your own device before...

Yes. This is really brand new.

I don't care about bringing your own phone. I already got 4 android phones off craiglist - if you know what you are doing, you can get good deals.

Right now I have the G2X which I got for 250.

Sounds like a good fit then, just make sure you have good T-Mobile reception and keep an eye on your data usage...
