Amex is once again offering a 20k MR cert for every 50k transferred to Delta. You must register for this offer. Offer ends 9/30/2011.

This might even stack with the current 50% Delta bonus for first time MR transfers, also running until 9/30/2011.

I'm not sure why it worked out that way, it seemed to be working when I previewed it. Try the hyperlink before it and it'll take you to the registration page.

Does this sound right?

27K for one-way from NYC-TLV with this 50% delta promo and 20K one-way from TLV to NYC using SPG to Flying blue?

So 47K for a RT to TLV all without fuel surcharges?

Delta doesn't have one-way awards.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

That's good info. Is the availability the same for flying blue as it is for delta? Does status impact availability?

So you could use the 40% to transfer 250k points to delta and then you would have a bonus 100k in membership rewards certs that you could use to transfer to any other MR partner like BA and get there 50% bonus?  BTW I found opening another delta acct to use this promo is against the TOS. You could lose all your points if you do it.

Delta 50% Bonus Plus 40% Membership rewards rebate
« Reply #27 on: July 26, 2011, 07:18:45 PM »
Everyone,

There is a new promo from delta that gets an additional 40% back in membership rewards plus the 50% bonus already offered from amex.

"Ready for summer travel? Your summer plans aren’t complete unless you’re getting 40% back. Register today, and then transfer Membership Rewards® points into your SkyMiles account by September 30, 2011. For every 50,000 points you transfer, you'll be rewarded with a certificate for 20,000 Membership Rewards points–that's a 40% bonus back to you."

The question is what happens when I transfer the mr points to my friends account.  Who gets the MR certificate.  I assume there is no way delta can send it back to the MR person because they wouldnt have their contact info, but I have no idea.

Anyone know?

20K amex is worth more than 25k delta in my opinion so a better deal to choose if you can only get one

Well it says Delta will email out an MR certificate to the Skymile account holder - but then to redeem it requires going to an AMEX site and submitting info about your AMEX card/MR account so it can be applied.  I agree you shouldn't have a problem, I wouldn't be surprised if the certificate can be put into anyone's MR account.

that makes sense, but is it sent to the persons email address who registered for the delta promo, or the contact email address on the amex transfer

also why are people saying that this is not stacking with the mr 50% transfer bonus.  based on what I have read, it doesnt seem to indicate that it wont stack.
one is given by amex at transfer time and the other is given by delta at some later point.

Amex to Delta 67% bonus

"For every 50,000 points you transfer, you'll be rewarded with a certificate for 20,000 Membership Rewards points–that's a 40% bonus back to you."

Because you get 20k MR back, it really only costs you 30k points.

So you get 50k SkyMiles for 30k MR points

That's 1.67 miles per point, a 67% bonus

Downside is its only in 50k increments and possibly you may not get 20k MR points back for some time

Where else has this been posted?

Anyways one potential problem is that if the amex and delta accounts are not in the same name, it may be hard to redeem the 20k voucher here: https://corporate.points.com/amex/redeem/RedeemCode.jsp

Wish someone from last time around got it and could tell us what happens, but i dont think anyone did.
