Chase cutting signup jobs on Marriott?

For months I've been getting emails from Marriott with offers to apply for the Marriott Rewards Premier credit card which always was the public bonus, this morning I got a new one, the email had an offer for a mere 75k points, while directly through Chase the offer is still 80k, as it has been for the last while. This offer does waive the annual fee for the first year, which to me is worth losing 5k points for, while the public one doesn't. But bonus offers often waive the AF, like the current 120k offer does.
Is this email indicative about the future of sign up bonuses on the card?
