Highly doubt it. Anyone who knows these type of personalities, they bounce around from mess to mess and rarely have any money on the side including the money that they gain from each messy gig. Usually, the money is used to clean up some of the prior messes and sadly the vicious cycle never ends.

Or it’s used to pay their mortgage, their car lease, or their kids’ tuition. It’s not necessarily done maliciously- I imagine some people just don’t understand that that’s not how to manage a business’s finances, or maybe they’re just desperate to pay the bills.

(Not commenting on HG as I don’t know him. Just elaborating on the personality type that you described.)

I met him last yr (I was at the program )
Just sad that it came down to this

I agree with you somewhat that it's not okay to bash him publicly and assume that he is a liar and crook. Unless it's proven 100%.

However, on your last post, he has no one to blame but himself for shaking off the blame entirely. If he can't apologize publicly and take some blame, he should not expect to have a good name

If someone has the ability to easily clear his name from any suspicions of foul play (in this case, it would be showing evidence that the program would've gone on had it not been for monies sent to the scammers), and doesn't, is questioning why he isn't clearing his name calling him a crook?

No. People were suspicious at first, but understood that phishing scams can affect even savvy individuals. However, the more HG spoke, the more questions and holes formed in the story. That led people to believe that not everything was hunky dory as he wanted to portray.

I can tell you, my friends and I spoke to the program the day before the announcement was made that they cancelled and they told us they would give us a discount if we paid asap.
