What was the discount ? What was he going to charge
I do not remember all the numbers. There were a lot of variables, how many people, is everyone staying for the whole yt etc...

What does that mean
It's a reference to somewhere else (free like if you know where), and my point was that even after someone realizes that there is a problem, it takes some time until they formulate a manner to respond to the problem and take action.

I thought all places give discounts last second if they have any rooms available

It takes a few minutes to maybe an hour after realizing you were scammed to put everything on hold. If you’re still soliciting new business you are a scammer.

I can tell you, my friends and I spoke to the program the day before the announcement was made that they cancelled and they told us they would give us a discount if we paid asap.
This is nothing new. He always operated like this.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

It's quite apparent that if he was scammed it was a relatively small amount. If that loss of cashflow was really what caused it to collapse, another large payment would've gotten him back on track.

No, people paid him for something, he didn't provide the service, and he hasn't refunded the money. That's called guilty!

That means guilty of making bad business decisions. Doesn’t say he’s a straight out thief ?
He paid deposits (even to hotel and maybe to scammer ) so how should he pay back something he doesn’t have ?
Bottom line is nobody showed 100% evidence that he is guilty.
Anyway to contact his friend who sponsored his pesach in South Africa ?
Or to see when he bought those tickets ? Was it bought before or after program was cancelled ?

I haven't seen even one person say that he never intended there t to be a program. He was irresponsible with other people's money and doesn't seem to care at all.

You are right. If the claim made here by a victim is true and he already knew it would be canceled then he is an outright thief. But that claim is being made by a victim.

If these are referring to my posts, I wrote that they (the program) tried collecting money the same day. Now if he did know that he was unable to make the program, than collecting that money would've been stealing. To which I gave the benefit of the doubt to the person my friend spoke to that same day

Went back to my whats app group. He called them March 29 2pm. Perhaps the person didnt know they were shutting down. Perhaps.

He took money, didn't deliver and has ignored his customers for the last 8 weeks. That's called stealing.

What does South Africa have to do with this ::)
