They key to good Pesach programs seems to be continuity. The ones that operate every year have a consistent and happy customer base and hard to go wrong with them other than weather etc. Gateways, Mark David, Smilow, KMR, Greenwald, Lasko etc all seem to consistently perform. If the deal seems to good to be true, that will generally be the case. Unless ur talking Europe where the standards are totally different.
It seems like this place advertised that it's their 6th year. Ppl that haven't been looking around for the last few years would take that as an established place.

The question isn't only if they are established, but rather if they have a consistent and happy base. That can be difficult to find out if you don't go by referral.

Found it.

No hechsher either..

It seems like Rabbi Goldwasser is with his program every year.

I'd love to know what he says..
Well. You actually posted two ads, for two different programs, AND NEITHER OF THEM LISTS THE NAME OF THE HASHGOCHO! (except if Zika Free is the latest Badatz Mehadrin...).

The fact that such programs fill up without even feeling the need to put a reputable name that people can rely upon for the Kashrus on Pesach is simply amazing.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Would love to see more pesach TRs here.

in addition to Pesach TRs (I think that Kosherica Passover programs and KMR programs are well-liked annually) it would be great to have a Yelp page for Pesach programs as well.

I heard great things about this (expensive) upscale program as well. Perhaps past customers can let the DDF audience know more about it: https://www.pesachinthenortheast.com/

Why are you assuming no one inquires about thr hashgacha when they call for more info? There's also no pricing on the smillow ad, do you question how people can go to these programs withoit even knowing what its going to cost them?

This one says that it is under the Kosher supervision of Rabbi Yaacov Barber, Dayan of the Melbourne Bais Din.
https://www.pesachinthenortheast.com/the-cuisine/

Pesach in the Northeast is under the Strictest Rabbinical Supervision, guaranteeing its guests the highest level of standards in Kashrus:
  Glatt Kosher
  Cholov Yisroel
  Non-Gebrokts
  Shmura Matzoh
Chassidishe Shechita (Bais Yosef is available upon request)

And for those on special diets, we will do our best to accommodate any and all of your needs, just let us know at the time of booking.
Pesach in the Northeast is under the supervision of Rabbi Yaacov Barber. Rabbi Barber is a Dayan on the Melbourne (Australia) Beis Din, and is a member of the the Rabbinic Board of the Kosher Australia, one of the the most highly regarded Kashrus Agencies.

Smilow's website states the supervision

"The Tamaya Resort will be under the strict hashgacha of Rabbi Manish Spitz, Miami Beach, FL."

He is an RC at Kosher Miami.

Correct. That ppl shell out $1,000s ( or $10,000s ) without a referral is amazing.

Ppl see Rabbi Goldwasser and assume that it's ok.

That's the point no website for this one one.

I'm just not sure why you assume that just because the ad doesn't mention anything about the kashrus it means people don't inquire about it when they call.

Why are you assuming that I am assuming that people don't inquire about the Hashgocho?

I didn't c"v mean to say that they don't have a Hashgocho, but the purpose of advertising is to get people to buy. The fact that these ads work even without listing Hashgochos is what I am talking about.

The selling points of the program are the facility, the entertainment, the attractions, etc. The quality of the Kashrus isn't a selling point (well for Smillow it does seem to be, yet still without a name behind the Kashrus claims IN THE PRINT AD).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I agree. Our general community care very little about kashrus. This is just another proof. Ppl are satisfied with *any* rubber stamp etc. As long as it's ok with the neighbors.

Are you serious?
Good food, good wine, good speakers, good entertainment, all within a few minutes of your room without having to prepare a thing.

Personally I'm worried about spoiling my kids, which is one of the reasons I'll be home again this year. But the draw is hardly a mystery.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
