There are a number of reasons why I plan on never running a Pesach program, but this is #1.I know firsthand the enormous challenges involved in keeping things at a high kashrus level on a regular program. On Pesach everything is a thousand times more complicated and quite frankly it terrifies me. I can have the best mashigichim and kashrus agencies but at the end of the day the buck stops with me, and that's just not something I'm willing to take responsibility for.(I'm not casting aspersions on any program, I honestly have no first hand experience with any. Just sharing my personal rationale here.)
I can count on one hand people who've asked me serious questions about kashrus on my trips (and most of those are actually fairly active DDFers, so I guess we must be doing something right around here lol).
Echo chambers are boring and don't contribute much to deeper thinking and understanding!
It never ceases to amaze me how few people ask me about kashrus when they ask about my trips. Questions about the food are pretty ubiquitous, but questions about the kashrus? I'd say maybe 5-10% of guests ask, and even those are mostly very broad questions.I can count on one hand people who've asked me serious questions about kashrus on my trips (and most of those are actually fairly active DDFers, so I guess we must be doing something right around here lol).
it's good to be a Lubavitcher
Having grown up in house hearing kashrus questions every single day, I think the biggest "hechsher" people rely on is "what's done". So as long as people know of someone who went on one of your trips, it's kosher.
My Pesach program has 100 percent kashrus success. I also get custom meals, made to order, and the chef is the best that exists. Really love it and would recommend, but they always fill up right away. Accommodations are great, so homey and familiar.
+1. 5 star accomodations and food.Hosted 24 people for the first days. Still have 2 single brothers if you want to join in the future .
Need to qualify for כל דכפין?
Sometimes physical space runs out. But shifts are available.
Shifts for sleeping?
AP dead or Obi dead?
Though Crown Heights is a different animal
My grandparents house was renowned for having a basement full of mattresses with "shifts" of people coming and going for a few minutes sleep (especially during Tishrei) Though Crown Heights is a different animal
(Were there long pipes next to the mattresses)
