Without commenting on the substance of the matter, I think that HG didn't get a fair chance here. It's clear that HG came on the show for one reason, so that he can try to show to the audience that he was indeed scammed. But the flow and style of the interview didn't allow it.
When HG was having trouble setting up the video, everyone was pressuring him to just say the timeline. That would've been really stupid. He wanted to show the evidence, not just give an account of it. He had every right to refuse to talk until the visuals were working. And as the interview progressed, he often kept getting cut off when he was trying to present details.
In short, I think that he didn't have a chance to properly present his story. I have no idea if it will hold up if told properly, but this interview was in no way comprehensive based on the style and vibe.
