next door to a decent sheraton, area is improving but people have complained about it. leaving from there the streets are confusing/annoying but somehow get you back to flatbush ave

biggest confusion is that Duffield st. itself (the street hotel is on) switched directions within the last year, so older gps would really get lost

and I believe at the end of duffield you can only turn left but then that street switches direction so you're forced to turn left again which iirc takes you to willoughby

I stayed there last night on a starpicks rate ($88 + tax) and was very impressed with the service: As a platinum member, I was upgraded in advance to an Aloft Suite. One of the front desk managers called me in advance to ask if he could provide a special amenity. He arranged a very nice bottle of Barkan Reserve Cabernet that was waiting in the suite when we arrived along with a personal note asking that we contact him with any needs through out the stay.

The hotel itself is very modern looking and there is complimentary wifi access throughout. There is a health facility on site and complimentary access to the Sheraton pool next door.

I stayed there several times. It's a new hotel which is great. Rooms are quite small (not much smaller then the Sheraton next door though.

General benefits of Aloft are free wireless, free water and a refrigerator in the room.

There are 2 subway stations nearby so avoid driving there if you can.

+1 on the confusing GPS directions.
