I'm not that into politics, but I got the impression that Santorum is basically the most pro-Israel candidate of the field, so I don't think that's a big worry.

Does it really matter? If unemployment keeps improving it is all over but the shouting.

My feelings are we won't be able to see a clear winner in the presidential election until the moth/week of. If Obama can pull of an economic surge at the time of elections I think he will for sure win. People are very short sighted when it comes to these things. I may be overgeneralizing but that's my feelings. As a side note I think Obama may/should release/leak the video of Bin Laden being killed around elections time. It'll give a sense of patriotism towards the country/Its leader...

Markets tend to rally in election years as we have seen in recent months...as the jobless rate slowly decreases and the GOP primary stretches out you probably will be right that Obama keeps his job for another 4 years...

Santorum might just be able to sneek out a win as he isn't grumpy/angry and is very personable with middle America.
