MIA, was very easy today, pulled up to curbside check in, family was getting out of the car while I was handing over my luggage to the agent and I drove from there to car rental return.

And, how did you get from there back to the terminal?

I find it highly doubtful that the return guy at the MIA or FLL car return centers would be permitted to just leave their posts and drive a customer to the terminal, unless that’s a specific benefit provided by a black Card or Chairman which I guess is an elevated points status.

For FFL, there is no need. The rental center is in the airport

No! They are horrendous, often don't even get a carfimation, sometimes it's for a car that's not there.

Hertz at EWR asked if I would like a ride to the terminal and the guy just hopped in and drove us.

Never had a issue with them, not to trying to promote them or anything, but was always satisfied with the fast pick up and drop off service.

It's not bad but by comparison their service overall sucks.

I believe he's referring to the Centurion card. It gives you Hertz platinum, which basically means when you need something, they're at your service.

In DFW Hertz drove me back to the terminal after returning. I'm PC, but don't think the random car parker guy knew that. He offered, I did not request.

Doesn't United Club card give you this status too?

I once did that and was forced to pay for a car seat. I could have purchased one in town for half the price. (and I had one free at the place I was staying). Had I not come with my family to the rental, I could have saved $60

Depends how many kids and how much luggage.

Last time was 3 kids and some luggage- 2 big suitcases and some carry on sizes and a car seat.

the shuttle drivers are very helpful about helping bring the luggage on the shuttle and getting it off for you
maybe my wife is different in that she would rather get on the shuttle then have to watch the 3 kids and the luggage at the airport by herself

We had an hour delay so we didn't mind walking since we didn't have any bags. I think on the reverse its less walking, we took the train and after a short walk we were in the Terminal. On our way to the rental car when we came it sounded a much longer walk.

Not anymore.

Now it's even better. Pick any car from your designated area, hop in and drive away.
