So no assault weapons ban or enhanced background check or anything being discussed would have helped either. Why does that a good gun may not have helped this case have any relevance to what he wrote?

He was driving home and struck once in the head. How in the world would a good gun prevented this?

So why are you looking to limit law abiding people from having guns? We should look to take them away from criminals, and stop legal guns from becoming illegal guns.

The difference is that one helps in a very low percentage of gun related crimes and one helps in a much higher percentage.

I'm sorry that you find it offensive that I refuse to agree to something that makes you feel good about doing something, without actually solving the issue.

The real elephant in the room, that the media completely ignores is the fact that the majority of homicides (especially mass shootings) are committed by boys who grew up in fatherless homes. The real issue is the breakdown of the traditional family. The traditional family allows a father to channel his sons energy for good instead of leaving it unchecked to do bad.

What is the other side? Only a small percentage of gun crimes are with assault rifles and a much higher percentage are with stolen guns.

Which narrative? That ineffective laws will only make the problem worse? I feel terrible that something like that happened to you, but that doesn't mean we should start implementing useless gun control just because it makes you feel like you're doing something. If you disagree with what I said then explain why, don't call it reckless and idiotic.

We have a gun problem. You refuse to acknowledge that simple fact. You are either trolling or completely ignorant on the subject.
SCOTUS has already ruled it is constitutional to have gun restrictions. No one said repeal anything.
