You live in NY, why would you be going away to the place that you live in?

I guess he wants to "get away" without having to go too far

Oh you don't know him. Trust me, he wants to go somewhere he's never been before or else it's no fun.

Thanks Asher for the obvious answer to the unnecessary question

Some things are not obvious to everyone, since it a public forum, I thought I should clarify. Besides, I could use the extra post... Hehe

How about the Hayt Regency in New Brunswick, NJ. Its close to CH, its a nice place, the the non Jewish hotel staff are aware that you cant do certain things on shabbos and are fast to help out.. If you want you can even go by NJ transit. The train stops literally a short block form the hotel. You have a (770 shaped) chabad house twenty minutes walk from the hotel. The area is a college town (Rutgers). 5 minutes away you have some kosher restaurant's in highland park.

Officially niether gold or platinum member can confirm upgrades in advance it is based on availability upon arrival, I always contact the hotel in advance and many times they do upgrade me in advance to suites

I don't say anything special, I just ask nicely and they see that I'm a platinum member so most of the time they are kind enough to upgrade me
