I was think of that because I don't know her bed situation. 
But I was thinking to talk to the linen store about showing her an elegant compete "set".

Linen is something that people like to choose personally IMO...
A certificate for the "elegant linen set of your choice" might work.
Though you know the person and maybe she'd prefer someone choosing it for her...

You could just purchase a standard set of linen in the price range that you'd like to spend, and arrange with the store that she should be able to come in and exchange it for the set and size of her choice.

Baccarat/Lalique/Daum crystal is very classy. You can buy from a department store so there are more exchange options and you can add fresh flowers if you want an extra touch.

Especially if you end up going the giftcard route, get a nice (e.g. Papyrus) greeting card and write a meaningful and personal/specific message.
