Credit Card for Large Tuition
« on: February 22, 2018, 03:11:21 PM »
My child's school is letting me put the tuition on credit card (and not pay any fees) if I do it early enough (they will then invest the money and more than recover the fees). My question is: are there any credit cards that have extra points for education/non-profits?

Or, should I just sign up for the Chase Ink Preferred and get the 80K signup bonus?

Barclay arrival plus probably your best bet. Unless you are looking to hit a specific signup bonus.

I think US bank or USAA has a card that gives 5x on non-for-profits people used to use it for KIVA

double check to see how the school is coded, there is a way to check on the visa website

It's interesting that some schools would charge a fee to pay withh cc since it cost them a percent, and others would give you a discount if you have a cc on file as they save many hours of collection.

Well some (like ours) will not let your child start without 10 post dated checks. This way they save on both.
