This is more of a halacha question.
I don't know the situation. Just pointing out the cost to fix something doesn't necessarily make the value go down by the same amount.

Also even if it was fixed then crashed again it would still cost the second person the same amount to fix (that's an assumption).

Kli Yakar on this past parsha gives a new pshat in לא ירבה סוסים that it means not to have a large army so that the king should place how trust in Hashem and not the army. לא תשיב ...מצרימה he shouldn't go to foreign countries to grow the army but rather only בקרב ישראל.

I remember hearing in the name of someone that life insurance might not be a good idea to get because then it takes away a reason for the person not to die. Meaning the dependants needed the person for money but now that there's life insurance it's not a reason to keep the person alive.

Has anyone heard of this. I forgot bsheim who it was said, but I think it was someone pretty recent.

1 what does that mean? Money is the easiest thing to say harba shluchim lamakom?
2 if anything why is marrying a woman a reason to retreat from war it should be a reason that you should go according to this.
3 why do you need 3 reasons if it's all just for the 4th reason of fearing because of Aveiros (according to that shita)?

I didn't see the clip. Perhaps the question was asked in a way which made playing dreidel a big deal, which afaik it's not, at least I haven't seen it. If the question was asked in such a way than downplaying the significance might be warranted. I just found his disdain for remazim that someone like the Bn"Y gave similar to his mocking minhagim of the Rema, and that I find to be rather bizarre than cute.

Happens to be in this clip he doesn't really say much. In any case, in all generations there were always Gedolei Yisroel with this type of Shprach, while others had a different approach with their speech.
