Is there a question you have or just want to know if anyone has experience? Im sure there are many with experience.

sorry- i called and they said i couldn't upgrade based on my ticket class.
question- has anyone had such experience where they were still able to upgrade? either by changing the class or paying more.
(not sure about the pad posts reference)
thank you

Upgrades are usually allowed from certain fare classes only, on most airlines. Their upgrade award chart should state which classes are upgradeable. Usually, lower fares are not upgradeable. If they tell you that they cant upgrade yoir ticket because of the fare class, why would you think its possible without upgrading the underlying fare?

Disregard the post padding post. It was meant for someone else.

Thats Iberia for you. Lazy and unhelpful. First find out what fares are upgradeable. GiYF. Then check with whomever or wherever you purchased the ticket whether it is changeable and what the fare difference is. Then check to make sure that the upgrade to J isnt just as expensive.

What route?
