Google Contacts
« on: February 28, 2018, 03:47:47 PM »
2 questions

1) is there a way to search/select all contacts that are not under a label.

2) there seems to be an option on the new Google Contacts after selecting 1 or all contacts to hide them from your contacts. But it doesn't seem to work.

It's a business email address and all the contacts are automatically coming up on my phone. Now certain contacts I need so stopping to sync won't help. Additionally stopping the sync leaves all those contacts on the phone.

Any ideas?

1) In the Old Google Contacts (you can still switch back), there's Other Contacts which are the ones never saved or labeled.

2) The hiding options works for me. Maybe try with fewer contacts selected at a time:

1) I will check
2) It seemed to have worked even though I got error the message.

Thanks

You are most likely gonna need to do:
  • Export All Contacts to CSV
  • Delete that Coulmn from the CSV and Save
  • Delete All Contacts in Google
  • Import back the CSV
