Cash in quickly before this cancells.
Easy way to cash points at 2.5 cents.
Set your preference for 5% discount, then after purchasing set it back to 2x points.
If you make a return now they will deduct based on the current setting

Terrible.
Will the lagging Visa equivalent dissolve too?

They just recently added to the program, so would be highly surprised if that's the case.

I thought it was only to compete, and that's why they improved it as it sucked. Now that Amex removed it, they can either follow, or keep it and use it to their advantage.

Visa SavingsEdge is really competing with amex offers now, not open savings. They have partnered with places like uber to run the same thing on personal cards. I assume that's why amex is killing open savings, they prefer limited time deals rather than long term smaller discounts.

... especially since the amex offers have been so lousy lately. Hard to imagine they cost amex very much

Nearly all AMEX Offers don't cost AMEX anything.
I'd guess that some of the Open Savings partners stopped wanting to discount their services and it wasn't worth keeping the program open for just a couple partners.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Just cuz there hasn't been another $100 off $500, doesn't mean they've all been lousy.
