SPG Cash & Points question

If SPG.com shows no C&P availability, and the hotel tells me that they can't open up any, but there is regular award availability, is there any point in calling SPG direct to get them to open?

they prob wont do it .they will tell you its up to the hotel and if they said no all you can do is wait for a cancellation or pay full points

yes. whats the harm. its a simple phone call...i usually call them before trying the hotel

Thanks for your replies. I called them, and they contacted the hotel and told me that one night was a problem because it's a bank-holiday in France, so I took that night as a free night, and the rest of them as C&P.

So, what are the chances of getting upgraded as a Gold at the LM Nice?
