Was just there and was great!
I've read the Vegas TRs and for the most part, they contain where people stayed and where they ate, but other than sitting at the pool and eating, I haven't seen much of what people do during the day. What is there to do during the day (other than gamble)? I'm told that different casinos have different displays, experiences, or free shows. Does anyone have any info on those or other things to do during the day?

Not sure who you're there with (adults, children) but a few days to the grand canyon was beautiful. Hoover dam can be one day, ski mobiling on the lake - we went right up to the dam, the beautiful mountains, red rocks, we've come from san diego for Shabbos, Shabbos in vegas - there's a shul and hotel right next door and Shabbos food to purchase. That's all besides checking out all the hotel themes. Again, things are different if you're a couple or a family.

Just me, for 3 days. Not interested in outdoors stuff like the mountains/red rocks. I'd thought about Hoover dam, but other than that I was thinking of staying in the more local Vegas area.

Then you're correct. It's just the restaurants and casinos.

Then you're correct. It's just the restaurants and casinos.
And the major attraction that each casino has/ mall.

Went a few years ago in July. It was hot. Did a portion of Grand Canyon and it was 113 degrees. Drink a lot. But it was great. Nights are nice.

Just came back from Vegas (again). I don't have patience to write up a trip report and honestly there are so many that it would be pointless. There are a few things that are worth noting:

This is the second time we booked through Amex FHR to stay on the strip. The first time we stayed at the Four Seasons which I thought was nice but underwhelming. We were able to use the free breakfast credit to get in room dining with catering by Rafi. It was a Sunday morning and it tasted like the bagel/lox was packaged on Friday. It was a real treat to be able to experience kosher in room dining but the food was lacking. The Four Seasons is just a handful of floors in Mandalay so it really didn't speak well for other Four Seasons I've seen.

This time we stayed at the Pallazzo. FHR provides an "upgrade" and late checkout (4 pm) plus free breakfast and $100 spa credit. Normally an upgrade at strip hotels from what I've experienced and researched is just a better view. This time (in part because my wife is expecting) we were able to get an upgrade to the Lago suite which is about 2,000 sq ft, and among other things had a baby grand piano and a private movie theater with a karaoke machine. https://www.palazzo.com/suites/lago.html

The $100 spa credit was nice because there was a promotion to get $50 off a massage if you're scheduled to start by 11 am making a $175 massage just $25 out of pocket before tax/tip/etc. The promos aren't supposed to be combined with the FHR but like all things YMMV.

But why I'm posting is that there is a Coffee Bean right by the suite elevators (which probably isn't news to many of you) which is a great kosher option. I tried to arrange in suite dining again this trip which fell through. I was told though that you can get $65 worth of Coffee Bean as a kosher option if it is billed to the room. I think this is phenomenal because although this Coffee Bean is very pricey with Smart Water going for ~$7 and Coke for ~$4, $65 a day can still go quite a ways.

So in summation $169 (before tax and resort fees) gets $100 spa credit, $65 coffee bean and a ~2,000 sq foot suite. Not too shabby.

What's the closest kosher breakfast place to the Aria?
Any ideas how to use my FHR free breakfasts credits for full kosher breakfast while at Aria Sky suite, or just waste it on the few Kosher items at the hotel restaurant?

Anise
Does Anise serve steak too?

Is there a nicer/better steakhouse in Vegas?

For a good steak, am I better in Anise or Jerusalem or a third option?

Anyone reserve at the Encore Las Vegas using the Chase Reserve - Luxury Hotel option? Do the breakfast credits work for kosher food options? Are the prices quoted inclusive of tax? Thanks!
