The new owners who purchased Mother Falafel have decided that they will not keep it as a Kosher Restaurant. The last day of our supervision will be on Sunday December 1. Starting Monday December 2, 2024 the restaurant will no longer be kosher.

Wow that's underwhelming.While the ability to earn Hyatt points and EQN is great, the lack of waived resort fees and requirement to book through Hyatt means that this isn't really a good play for me. I've stayed at Palazzo on an FHR rate and thought it was solid with the benefits, but I doubt that the non-discounted rates I'd get through Hyatt will be competitive with other options I have in Vegas. Meh.

I have a friend going to a conference Jan 20-22. Hotels are sold out or crazy expensive. Any good points or other options on the strip?

Any other options for hotels for Shabbat near an Orthodox shul besides the La Quinta Red Rock? Staying in June so don't want to walk much more than 10-12 minutes in the 100° temps. The JW Marriott in Summerlin would work but it looks like it's a 1.5mi walk to Bet Yossef.

Sad update

Duncan donuts which recently became kosher in Henderson is losing its certificate at the end of the week. Apparently they didn’t have enough business. Local community member told me they’re devastated. Shame

Red Rock Canyon.

There are also half a dozen places that will rent you ATV/UTVs with transportation to various places nearby so you can ride on the sand dunes in the desert.
