Ouch! Too blatant. Also, did you realize that you were requesting a double-upgrade in the process?

What was the double upgrade?  It's an all-suite hotel.

We had the signature deluxe suite. Was asking for the 1 bedroom.  What's the double upgrade?

From what you wrote above I would understand that you were asking for the double balcony..

Alot of great deals at http://www.smartervegas.com/unlisted-deals.aspx.  I got a suite at TheHotel for mid feb for 2 nights for ~$300 and it includes 2 tickets to one of 6 shows. We 're going to KA.  Not the best seats but still even the cheap ka tickets are lik 70-90, so it works out great for me and my wife.

From what i've read there's nothing wrong with being blunt.  Be polite, and say what you want - your not buying drugs!

What's wrong with handing over the money and politely asking for what you want? How else can you get it?  If you just hand over the money and say nothing they won't know what you want...

Need help finding hotel for feb 17-21
« Reply #312 on: January 25, 2013, 12:32:25 AM »
I'm going to LV between feb 17-21. I tried looking for hotels but the rates are outrageously high. Nothing like what people are posting in the forums, so I figured I'd ask for some help finding them. I don't care for anything fancy. I just need a room (or two rooms) and two beds, preferably on the strip or very close. If it's not a big difference in price I'd rather stay at one of the better hotels.

i called amex platinum concierge and they suggested south point casino hotel at a price of $414 for the stay. Does anybody have any experience with this place? Is it any good? Like I mentioned before, if I can find something that is nice for a bit more I don't mind paying more.

I just checked priceline and see two hotels in the $200-$250 range, the Tropicana and the South Point. Anybody have any experience with any of these? They're both rated at four stars...

four nights
Sorry missed the dates on your earlier post..
I assume you are looking for something more than just a basic motel, otherwise you wouldn't be posting here...

You can have a room at the Golden Nugget for $321 from Kayak.com or Hotels.com, you have till about a week prior to the trip to cancel for free.
That's the best I came up with for a decent hotel (4 stars), it's not on the strip but not far from it but I wouldn't worry to much about parking based on this:
lucky for you parking (even valet parking) is easy and free everywhere because the casinos all you want to spend your money gambling there!

Both the South Point and the Tropicana are four stars. I found rates for the tropicana starting at $44/night and the southpoint at $62. Has anyone stayed at any of these? Is one better than the other?
