Which is why I gave you good information.  Don't stay on the strip for shabbos.
Better off staying in LA.
Heres the story i cant leave Denver till wed august 10th and need to be back by like Thursday the 25th preferably Wednesday the 24th. I could leave Denver on wed and get to LA by fri but its 17 hrs of driving in like 2 days which i dont rly want to do. So maybe I will leave Denver on wed get to the grand canyon on thursday stay till sunday and get to la either mon or tuesday. Stay in La till sunday get to vegas on sunday stay till tuesday and get to denver on wed or thursday. What do u think of that plan?

I hear ya' but I still wouldn't want to spend a shabbos on the strip.
The strip seems more like the antithesis of shabbos.
I'd rather spend shabbos in the grand canyon in g-ds paradise and then spend sunday in vegas.  Oh wait I've done that ;)
btw do u have a trip report on grand canyon?

There is actually a really nice community in LV. (I stayed there this past shabbos Chanuka.)
I believe the shul is a joint venture between YI and aish, and there is a hotel right there where you can spend shabbos.
I'm pretty sure they have a hospitality program, but I called people I know who live there, so I don't have experience on that end.
I think the Rabbi is named wein, (pronounced wine), and the community is on the west side of Vegas near Panini.

(This is just one of a few communities around Vegas.)

Just a friendly tip..if you want us to help you look for cheap flights, it'd be a good idea to share with us your departure city.

Sorry, I totally forgot while I was talking to BA reps...thanks mocha.

My departure city is houston. I plan to visit las vegas on Oct 2 and be back on Oct4 or 5. I have 51000 miles on BA account, 65000 miles on continental , 14000 points on SPG (thanks, dan, all my continental and BA miles comes from signup bonus from amex premiere gold card, and probably get another 10K for new business SPG).

I just want to get some advice how to fully arrange my trip and to use all my resources I have.  (I read dans trip notes but just wonder when was that awesome free Wynn package offer? i bet it is gone now)

awesome thanks in advance.

Yes that deal that Dan got at the Wynn was over many moons ago.
I personally wouldn't waist miles on hotels as you can get very mice suites for very little money.

This is 25k Co miles + $10

Sun., Oct. 2, 2011 | Houston, TX (IAH - Intercontinental) to Las Vegas, NV (LAS)
Depart: 2:25 p.m.   (1.5 hr stop in LAX)   Arrive 6:34 p.m

Wed., Oct. 5, 2011 | Las Vegas, NV (LAS) to Houston, TX (IAH - Intercontinental)
Depart: 12:35 p.m.   (1.5 hr stop in PHX)   Arrive: 7:47 p.m.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for deals for flights and hotel at Las Vegas. We'd like to stay at either the Bellagio or the Venetian, possibly at the Wynn.
Direct flights only.
Leaving Boston on 2/19/12 and returning on 2/23.

Any suggestions?

Does anyone have information on how one can find babysitting help in Las Vegas? Is there a Chabad or some other organization that can help with this?
