You will not get rooms in the decent hotels, more like Harrah,Ballys,Linq and Rio. They will not give you rooms in Caesars paris or PH.

I guess a better question is: how the heck does one go about picking out a hotel in Vegas. Lots and lots of options with good reviews, all under $100. Any particular ones that people here can recommend ? Traveling with kids, so a suite is definitely a strong preference...

No kitchen, prefer nice but doesn't need to be over the top, and although I prefer the $100-$150 range it isn't set in stone. As a side note, it's for 2 months out are prices/deals going to get better closer in?

Depends. Flights can vary as well as what time of the week you go. Bellagio, Venetian, Aria, Mandala Bay, Wynn are def very nice but not under 150 normally.

I stayed at the Venetian.  Its was about $150 (3 years ago)  was amazing!!  It is definitely worth to spend a little more and stay at one of the nicer hotels.

+1

With so many possible issues and options, I much rather spend a bit more and stay in a hotel that is confirmed as good.

Thanks guys, but most of these hotels don't have 1 or 2 bedroom suites (unless you start paying $300+). The signature at the mgm grand has pretty good reviews for a 1 bedroom suite, should I just go for it? Or are these properties significantly nicer? Also are there ever deals on the above mentioned hotels to bring them down under $150?

AAA sometimes can get the price lower. or maybe amex travel. but as i mentioned earlier, try to consider paying more. it will make your stay more fun being in one of the different kind of hotels.

Right, but unless they have connecting rooms it will cost way too much for the suites at these properties... Do you know if it will get cheaper closer in? For both the regular rooms and the suites?

Delano I am not familiar with. Mandalay Bay tends to have a good wrap. Not so centrally located strip wise but easy with a rented car and not too far for a shabbes walk.

I see, since it's the same property as Mandalay bay I guess I can assume it's good as well. Is that the hotel with the shark exhibits?
