Might be in Vegas in Jan from sun-wed with wife and infant

looking for some nice hotel recommendations AWAY from the main strip; preferably next to shuls and restaurants.  I have starwood, IHG, and marriot points.  Should I be looking at Henderson, NV as well etc......

not sure about points but we had a nice time at the Palms Place (it's one of the 3 Palms hotels). it's off the strip and a 2 minute walk to Jerusalem and Nina's Cafe.

I stayed at LaQuinta with my wife it is right next to the Young Israel. We were happy with the accomodations.

IIRC. we weren't there over Shabbos and didn't use one. we found a local couple at Panini and had a long shmooze with them. they mentioned the jewish community and implied that it's all together
