FS doesn't have a casino, so totally different experience
If casino isn't a factor.
More important is pool and room quality.

Which hotel would be the best choice for a couple just going to relax at the pool.

Status if that makes a difference:
TR and Wyndham diamond
Hilton and Bonvoy Gold plus

And most expensive. I've easily spent more then $75 a day on Uber. Plus most hotels they can't pull up in front. U need to go the pickpp zone which is the worst.

What are you talking about. I’ve never spent more than $15 on an uber in LV. And I often get luxury cars at the cheapest rate. And never had to walk more than 2min to the entrance. Usually right in front.

If you are only planning on staying on the strip then no need to rent. If you want to see the beautiful areas around Vegas you need to rent. I do not believe cars are that expensive there.

Do a quick Google search for off strip activities.

Such as the Hoover dam, grand canyon, red Rock canyon, valley of fire park and Nelson ghost town are places on my list.

It takes just as long to get your car from valet and self parking... it pretty much boils down to if you want to go a bit further out of Vegas or not. Just for kosher food, a rental car is not worth it.

The math on renting a car has also now changed since many hotels now charge for self parking or valet, which used to be free.

Is there a way around the resort fees at most major hotels? I'm looking at the Venetian and Palazzo. Almost $50 a night!

Only if you have status which is harder at the 2 specific places you mentioned, since their not part of any major chain iirc. If you like complaining then things will go wrong :) Wifi etc and you can potentially get it refunded
