Thanks again.
Now I have to find a way to get cheaper SPA rates  >:( for the wife.
I'm not ready to spent $300 for a 45 minute massage.
I haven’t seen any Groupons for SPA treatments in hotels on the strip.
Any suggestions where to look?

we went to see the venetian. entered from the parking lot (not main entrance)

someone stopped us and offered us a free 3 night stay at the venetian within the next 12 months (besides a $15 a night resort fee)
catch is to hear a timeshare presentation at the grandview (with a limo shuttle there and back)

Going to Vegas 1/19 - 1/23. Through AmexPlat FHR price for the Wynn is $267nt with 4th night free (comes out to $200nt for 4 nights). Of course, all other FHR benefits are included (room upgrade, $100 Spa credit, etc.). Is this a good deal?

So I am looking at hotel options in Vegas fro mid-February and, after some research, it seems to me like the best option would be the Signature at MGM Grand for about $85 a night.

The only other option would be the Wynn for $122 using this for a 'Deluxe resort king" which I found out upon calling that it only includes one bed and no sofa pull-out bed (we have a 4Yo and a 2YO)..
Upgrading to the next size room which comes with just 2 queen beds would already cost $200..
I doubt spending $200 at Wynn vs $85 at MGM justifies. Especially considering the fact that MGM is ranked #10 on Tripadvisor, just below the Encore and Wynn...
Not to mention that Wynn charges for parking on top of it.
Don't mind not staying at the strip (MGM is about a mile away), especially due to the fact that I can just drive up to the strip and park for free virtually anywhere.

All this is what I gather but not from experience. If someone with experience would chime in and confirm if all this makes sense I would greatly appreciate it.
Are the Wynn basic rooms takeh compact? Is it an EXPERIENCE in itself worth the money or just a very nice hotel?
Anyone stayed at the Signature MGM and can share their experience?

Thanks.

PS. If there are any good deals to be caught now that include top hotels please share as well!

The Wynn basic rooms are not compact but they aren't huge either. So they may not suit you well if you have a couple kids with you. It is a nice hotel, but not sure its worth so much more than the Signature when you're bringing your kids along anyway.

Parking at the Wynn is free, so not sure why you would think otherwise.

We stayed at the Signature @ MGM during the free Vegas deal with our 3 kids.  It's an all suites hotel which is nice and you don't need to walk through a casino which we didn't want to do with our kids.  The bathroom was huge  - we put our baby in there - they provided a full-size crib (and the toilet was in a separate room), and had a separate TV which was a plus for us - we were able to sleep in in the morning and our kids were still entertained.  I don't think it's a mile from the strip - I remember being able to walk to the strip with kids.

Thanks for the input.
Booked it and have more than two weeks to cancel it in the even that I find a good deal on one of the "special" hotels.
I actually booked the "balcony" room which is supposed to be the bigger size, do you remember what type you had?

It had a balcony.  Did the $20 trick and got upgraded to a balcony room on a high floor.  Was hoping for a separate bedroom :-(

It seems like they have one and hopefully I'll be able to buy my way into it with a $20..
Although from the video they look like two separate apartments... Maybe I should pack my baby monitor :P

I would have been happy with a one bedroom.  Ours was a junior suite with a half wall between bed and sitting area.
