because they dont automatically see the name on someone elses bank acct, whereas most checks have a name on top

dont know, but i never put in the correct info and the payments go thru..

they never see anybody's name unless they look into it.
once you are up to that stage it doesn't matter if you paid via check or bill pay, they can can see everything.

I do this a lot with chase, i'm assuming I should stop? Rather than cash / deposit checks, I usually just pay my cards with it..

Yes, I wouldn't use third party checks with Chase.

At Chase it doesn't show on statement, but I'm sure technically, yes they can see it.
