At Chase it doesn't show on statement, but I'm sure technically, yes they can see it.

i hear. If the check is a chase check and you have a chase cc and not a checking account, they’ll cash it for free. Any risk there?

Most probably not, even with checking account you need to have funds in your account to cover.

I still wouldn't do that with Chase, they don't like any funny business.

+1. Best probably would be to deposit it at another bank then pull/bill pay.
