I was inquiring, not saying that there isn't any.
But I did research it a little, as I do use third party checks, and the reports I saw focused more on 3rd party attached bank accounts, and were wishy washy about the checks.

So an electronic payment from a bank acct not in the card holder's name is a bigger risk than a third party check? Bummer considering that 2/4 of my most recent mailed payments were "lost" or at least never processed

if the payment goes thru, how do they know if the bank acct is yours or 3rd party

in a FR they might ask you for proof that you are a signer on the account you're using to pay online

Hope its not a stupid question but when referring here to third party checks, does that mean a third party check written out to amex (like from a business check or somepne elses name paying to amex) or its a check written out to a third party not to amex?

You can pay your bill with any of your bank accounts that are linked online, the problem is when you send in a check from someone else to pay your bill.

i am always mailing business checks to pay my personal cards and never had any problems before, did things change recently?

Just for a clear DP, Ive been getting the story clearer from the person, seems like him and 2/3 others were having a guy swipe for them and pay amex via check sent out, seems like everything somehow got linked and amex shut all down.

RAT has been cracking down everywhere these last couple of years. I am guessing it was the person making the payments was the problem. Probably more to his story.

Now person is saying that to one of the payees, a check was bounced... so seems to be fitting more with what you are saying.
