 ETA as far as i remember i used a third party check once from a buying group. the owner of that buying group was shut down for some reason and they closed down a lot of people that they had on record as using his checks to pay their cc

Didn't mean it in that particular case, talking in general when one has someone else pay their cc bill as they owed you money, or link someone else's accnt number to take money from when your owed money and etc.
