Uber Driver Damaged My Property

Hi,
A uber driver I used this morning in the Toms River area damaged my landscaping  and possibly the sprinkler system. 
He tried backing out of my driveway but ended up in the grass and got stuck deep inside.
 Does anyone know how to go about getting reimbursed for damage done to my property by the uber driver?

There's no option for this type of issue but I contacted them via the safety concern and have yet to hear from them. I was just wondering if anyone had past experience and if they got reimbursed

Do you have security footage? If no response from Uber, you can look into filing a police report..

Yes, it's not about criminal charges, it's to get paid out, you may be able to get paid from his insurance.

Don't see why not. Call 911 and talk to them.

You have the drivers first name and license plate, I'm sure you can subpoena the rest of his info from Uber.

Pictures are good, but video is better. Do any neighbors have footage covering your property?

IME, in NYC at least, they'll tell you to call 911 since only they can dispatch an officer for the police report.

I'm not surprised Uber won't pay. Why should they? Their business model is built on the idea that the drivers are not employees and the cars are not theirs.

did you ask him to pull up the driveway?
What was he's alternative other than backing out?
