Just went to tru in Wayne NJ. Most items were 40 off but when I searched the item online it was the same or less elsewhere. Very disappointed! No wonder they're closing down.
I went into a store they advertised up to 30% off
The only thing that was 30% off was the greeting cards, everything else was 10% and the shelves were empty and long lines by checkout.
Thanks.

Kids begging me to go to store.

Toys r us express in Northeast ohio advertising as 10-30 percent off. Everything was 10 except 2 items that were 30. Even if prices were  at %30 off still nothing special. Plus no returns

same experience.

Even worse, I wanted to buy a bike and they only had the floor model left, not only did they not want to give a discount (more than the 10%) since it was used and the tires wee clearly worn but they wanted an extra $10 since they "assembled" it for me

I see why they are going out of business

You no longer can make purchases online, if you've got gc's to use you'll need to go to a store

Its quite ridiculous. After visiting and saw the "sale" i feel less bad for them.  Huge signs stating 30% off yet nothing was that amount

Are the shelves starting to look empty even? Are people cleaning them out?

Then they are bound to eventually lower the prices if they want to close up shop soon

They are not. There are liquidation companies that buy out all the remaining merchandise.
