I went into a store they advertised up to 30% off
The only thing that was 30% off was the greeting cards, everything else was 10% and the shelves were empty and long lines by checkout.
same experience.

Even worse, I wanted to buy a bike and they only had the floor model left, not only did they not want to give a discount (more than the 10%) since it was used and the tires wee clearly worn but they wanted an extra $10 since they "assembled" it for me

I see why they are going out of business

You no longer can make purchases online, if you've got gc's to use you'll need to go to a store

At the ToysRUs on the NJ 17 just like other locations most of the the store is 10% off, some Lego sets are even less, only 5 % off.

Its quite ridiculous. After visiting and saw the "sale" i feel less bad for them.  Huge signs stating 30% off yet nothing was that amount

Are the shelves starting to look empty even? Are people cleaning them out?

Then they are bound to eventually lower the prices if they want to close up shop soon

They are not. There are liquidation companies that buy out all the remaining merchandise.

Probably easier to liquidate in bulk then lower the discount.

it is cheaper to sell to liquidation companies because they have the cost of keeping a store open. Example employees etc.

complete bs
Says up to 30% as of today but like someone also said almost nothing is 30 off.
Most is 10
Lego is 5, not even a decent price compared to elsewhere

This is very diff than typical oob sales.
People are going for nostalgia and once people come they buy stuff

I wonder if they'll increase the discount once you can no longer use GCs
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

The way Sports Authority did it was to start slow and slowly up the discounts as the ending date neared, and as the inventory emptied.
