Couldn't find a thread on the new card. Will reportedly have transfer partners http://frequentmiler.boardingarea.com/2018/03/25/barclays-arrival-premier-to-offer-transferable-points-via-unnamed-source/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Frequent%20Miler%20%28Instant%29
This can be great with the LH and B6 transfers (unless they mess up the ratio). Transfer to AA although not so valuable can be good too. Hoping for an AS partnership too.
Waiting to hear what will be the A+, and if it'll have the same 2ppd as the A+.
Additionally will my current A+ points be eligible for this. (not blowing them hoping it'll be the same points, even if you need the premier for the transfers, but the A+ earns the same points, think chase freedom with CSR)
Annual spend bonus is cool too.
ETA: biggest make it or break it question.

Available for application!
https://cards.barclaycardus.com/cards/barclays-arrival-premier-world-elite-mastercard.html
Horrible 1.4:1 transfer rates to  Air France, KLM, Aeromexico, Etihad, Qantas, China Eastern, Malaysia, JAL, and EVA Air and 1.7:1 to JAL. That and no sign up bonus definitely devalues the card to me, but doesn't take away from the amazing earning rate it has.
Includes access to lounges via Loungekey for $27 a time.
And of course it has another GE credit that no one needs.
Now I'm wondering if they will release a full scale premium card in the near future.

whats the math on the 3x with 25k spend minus the cost of the AF vs using a FU or EDP or 2% no AF card

It is a great rate, but the AF does sort of mess that up.
What do you want to value everything (A(+?), MR, UR) at?

Go for it on a 2% no af card
That's $500 back on $25k, while the arrival  is 75k-$149 (at 1cpp)=60.1k/$601 which brings you ahead.
Even if you spend just 15k, at 2% that's $300, with the arrival it's 45k-$149 (at 1cpp)=30.1k or $301 practically equal, but the AF is paid off.

The problem with this card is that you can't not spend 25k and you don't want to spend too much more than that.

But if you want to go to Japan this card is promising.. with a fall back of 2.4% cash out  or an Etihad redemption.

3% cash out for travel if you spend 15K or 25K.

El Al redemptions are good too.

It's 2.4% after AF with 25k spend. Or 2% for 15k.

If I can sell one of these for $12 I'd be happy. Lol. And don't forget only $27 a lounge visit.
I didn't see this mentioned but I assume the 15k/25k spend is once annually, not every 15k/25k, correct?

I was kidding around, but I don't recall subtracting the AF to come to an effective cash back amount with any other card.

It definitely should be considered. Especially when compared to the blue for business card that has no fee. That's my general non-category spend card, and this card isn't much more compelling, but it does provide some versatility with transfer partners.

How many cards offer not much (read: nothing) then CB and have an AF, let alone $100+?

So how do you calculate CSP or CSR then?

The versatility adds value, but is impossible to quantify in that equation. 0% Forex, which CDC and ABFB don't have also needs to be in the equation.

With a chart;)
That has lounge access on it, insurance, miles redemption etc.
But the AF is definitely something.
If not, someone who spends $100 annually on groceries should get a BCP for 6% while ignoring the $95 AF?

You definitely need to be cognizant of fees and thesholds, but there are too many factors at play to call this 2.4%.

You need to factor in the ability to ask for the fee to be waived, retention bonuses, versatility, forex, and much more. I'm not a fan of a calculation like that unless everything is equal.
