aa 500 mile upgrade without putting in aadvantage number

is it possible to request an upgrade using 500 miles upgrades without putting in aadvantge number so i can credit to another carrier? flying in n class. i am gold... specifically selected a 763 from jfk-mia but dont need any more aa miles. i have alaska, ba, iberia and many other options... but still want to at least get on upgrade list
anyone can help with this?

Fyi Jfk-mia AAgold clearing upgrade list is rare, especially since priority now to revenue.
You can't change who to credit milage to after flight departs but you can see if your upgrade clears and then make switch before take off.
