I can’t speak for everyone, but I absolutely hate any new editions of board games. I grew up playing the original Monopoly and will only play the original.

Ever since Hasbro took over, all of these games have become dumbed down and cheapened.

I am actually a big fan of the speed die. The game otherwise just takes too long to play on a regular shaabat.

Do you play with the real rules or with house rules?

Most part?

When you play with the real rules the game takes 30-90 minutes. People kvetch about Monopoly because they add to the money supply and then wonder why the game never ends.

#FakeRules

Play the way it was written to be played. The house rules are awful, take all the strategy out of the game, and make the game take forever.

No bonus money for getting snake eyes.
No bonus money for landing on Go
No borrowing money from another player or the bank.
No forgiving rent money or trading for rent immunity.
Nothing for landing on free parking. When's the last time you got paid because you found free parking?

Thank me later :)

LOL

How about selling/trading your property to other players?

Also - back to the original question, any point in getting Jerusalem edition or just gimmicky?

You can sell or trade, but no sweetheart deals. Needs to be open and fair trading.

You're asking the wrong person, I hate all the Hasbro versions of Monopoly. I play with: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00000IWCU/?tag=cl03f-20&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Cheaper on ebay used: https://fave.co/2GuNAyr

I never understood why snake eyes gets bonus money and not double sixes they both have the same probability of being spun (2.78% chance)

True and a 1 and a 6 also only have a 2.78% chance of being spun every exact combination has the same probability, so I assumed it's the fact that you got the number 2 which has a 2.78% probability as to  why you get a bonus and 12 is the same.
