I never understood why snake eyes gets bonus money and not double sixes they both have the same probability of being spinned (2.78% chance)
People do play that you get bonus money for "boxcars" (double sixes).
why can't you trade for rent immunity? How is that against the rules? It's a real trade

http://mospaw.com/monopoly/some-obscure-monopoly-rules-explained/12/informationSame rule in tournament play.
We play that you can't sell something to one opponent for less than another there will pay.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I absolutely hate any new editions of board games. I grew up playing the original Monopoly and will only play the original.Ever since Hasbro took over, all of these games have become dumbed down and cheapened.
No bonus money for getting snake eyes.No bonus money for landing on GoNo borrowing money from another player or the bank.No forgiving rent money or trading for rent immunity.Nothing for landing on free parking. When's the last time you got paid because you found free parking?Thank me later
Only Free parking is part of our house rules. Never tried without it
I agree these house rules that give out free money make no sense but to not allow a free and open market that's a whole different story
Play without it and you'll be amazed at how much quicker and more strategic the game is without a welfare system.
So you have no problem giving away money at the beginning but when someone is down on their luck you want to kick them?
It's a common sense rule to avoid fights about collusion or teaming up on a 3rd opponent. It's not a rule that adds infinite money into the system that turns the game into a torture device.
