I'm happy to test this out in a 3 player game anytime.
Don't you find the other two players will attack the person who has Australia?
I just found a new supply of forks!

If 2 players fight for Australia, then the 3rd party wins. It is extremely predictable.

No they let you sit in Australia and attack everywhere else against you. You then will end up with all three having a continent.

The other 2 will attack each other before dealing with Australia as Australia only has 1 entry point. Attacking that becomes a kamikaze mission.

one thing to keep in mind is that if another player is going for south America don't make your boarder in south America in Venezuela retreat to central America and build up there otherwise you'll likely prompt war and that is not what you want

They wipe out everything Australia has except Australia. You can then stick a fork in Australia.  :)

You'll still exposed to attacks from 3 continents. It simply can't be defended like Australia can.

Don't need anything besides Australia, those are all effectively forfeited. Just need to bide your time when the other players kill each other while you keep earning a card by attacking a single country.
Go try and let us know how it goes :)

it's not about how many continent's can attack you its about how many boarders there are, so if you were going for Australia and I north America and a third player south America or Africa I'm getting more menthe both of you

This may win for the most typos in a DDF post.

And you're not going to get anything as the first play in Risk is to break up whole continents at their weakest point. Australia has no weak point. Not going to debate this anymore, go ahead and try it for yourself. I too used to be a North America guy. Once you go down under you'll never go back. But it also ruined the game until we made the house rule.

I used to win all the time against someone with Australia. I used to always get North America.
As much as it pains me to agree I go for NA.

My cousin used to always go for Australia. I beat him most of the time. I had strategies to deal with him.
