Obviously not something you'd go and buy just because it dropped $20, but if you're in the market for one it's a good deal.
I've had one of these for probably 8 years. It's been through 10's of thousands of miles with pretty much every weather imaginable. Driving through the desert at well over 100 degrees, sub-freezing Northeast winters, snowstorms, hailstorms, torrential downpours (everything stayed dry,) and probably just about everything in between.
One thing it did not hold up well to is kids jumping on it so alas it's time for a new one.
I haven't seen any real difference in gas mileage when using this.
when I got mine it was twice the size and half the price of anything else out there.
It's branded as X-cargo but it's actually manufactured by Thule.
