Got the ineligible warning... any chance of approval if I click through? Haven't found any DPs of people trying to click through the warning on this or other cards.
Possible work around DP here:

Applied and approved on the spot. They even gave me my card number so I can use it at my SPG hotel this weekend and get the $300 back right away.

Correct me if I am wrong, but all Marriott and SPG cards get 6X per Marriott and SPG stays so it would otherwise not matter which card is used?

Does the $300 credit on the Luxury card work similar to the Reserve in the sense that yu can get $300 back this year and then again in 2019 in the beginning of the year?

I had the same quesstion.  Aside from the sign-up bonus, and if I'm already at gold status and none of them can get me to Platinum, what's the benefit of this card?  I'm a Hilton loyalist (I actually earn from large meeting and stay expenses for work and they are way more generous with bonus earning to where I can get often get about 30% back in points) but we do spend some money at SPG hotels and I'm trying to figure out what would be the best card to put that business spend on, basically to keep one card for the annual free night and to use only for SPG expenses.  This high end card, or any of them, don't offer a way to spend up to platinum or spend up to earning an annual second night, right?

It seems like the SPG Biz card also gets 6ppd and will also get gold status at 30k spend, which we will spend at spg properties.  Y'all jumping on this just to get the bonus, free night and put back in the sock drawer?  I want to make sure I'm not missing something.  :D

The aspire travel credit is per calendar year

This is what is says on Amex website:
With your Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card, enjoy up to $250 in statement credits each year of Card Membership for eligible purchases at participating Hilton Resorts.

"each year of card membership" means calendar year?  Then I'll make to use it in 2018. :)

Didn't work, but thank you. Rep wasn't willing to manually apply the offer. Still looking for DP of someone pushing their luck and applying despite getting the warning.

It took 17 minutes to apply on the phone. Can't do that all day.

The official warning listed a lot of reasons aside from having the card before - history with amex welcome offers, apr offers, number of cards opened/closed.
