Just got bumped up from Plat to Plat Premier.
Still no idea what I'm supposed to be, but I'll take it.

I was Marriott Gold after losing Platinum last year, now it shows I am Platinum , is this what it is supposed to be?  A friend was Marriott Gold because of the SPG gold status from credit card, status is showing Gold?? Why not Platinum like me?

Has anyone who cancelled an award booking actually seen their points credited/deposited back into their account.  It seems this issue has been a problem since day 1 --- unfortunately, I've been waiting for 12 days without my points being returned to my account.  They started saying it would take 7-10 days, yesterday they told me 5-10 business days -- today they said they don't have any idea when the issue will be resolved.

By way of update, I called and spoke to a supervisor.  She was able to go into the old legacy SPG system to find and move over the points from my cancelled reservation.  This is an issue that they're still trying to solve but she did this manual workaround for me.

My daughter moved her points from SPG to Marriott , we were thinking she'll be Platinum, she ended up with Gold, if I knew I would have transferred her 800000 points from her SPG to mine , since I ended up as Platinum. Is it too late to do anything to transfer her points to my account? I know Marriott allows 50k only.

New limit is 100k. Havnt read many DP’s but perhaps try the booking trip where you “want” to use your daughters points to complete a booking.

Can the transfer be done online or still needs to be called in?

Anyone else having a hard time getting the points refunded? I booked SR Maldives pre merger because Dan was saying to lock up the dates. However i mustve called 25 times this week to get the points refunded and they keep saying i cant get it refunded if the rooms aren't available. I thought the whole point to booking pre merger was that we would be getting the addtl miles refunded while at the same time locking in the days we wanted.
Just an update here, its been 10-14 days since i tried getting the credit back, i had some time yesterday and decided to give it a shot. Got on the phone with a great rep, it took over an hour to do but she was finally able to redo the booking at 170k miles at night thereby refunding 100k per night. She had to do each night individually to pull it off. Its not the 60-80k per night that i wanted but i think ill still keep it. Bear in mind that the dates showed sold out online, so she was obviously able to do a work around. Good luck

I did a point to miles transfer just now. 180,000 Marriott points to 60,000 miles. But nowhere in the process does it show the 15,000 extra MR I am supposed to get during the transfer. There is no email or indication on the website of the transfer other then the lower MR balance. Has anyone done this yet? Do they add the extra miles during the transfer?

SR MLE is not on the list
Right. But per TPG:

....section 3.2.f. (which I’ve bolded): “Point values are based on a standard room only (does not apply to premium room) and may vary by length of stay and hotel category.” ....Hopefully we won’t start to see these properties playing games with categorizing all of their accommodations as “premium rooms".

I got Platinum Elite, was told after a long hold with a clueless rep that it is only good till Feb or March 2019 ? He said this applies to status given to all members . Makes no sense that it applies to all members??

Of course not, he obviously was confused, not that I blame him, MT continues to be a mess. If true at all, it's probably referring to people who got it through SPG gold.

That is what confused me, I was this year Marriott Gold from Marriott stays not from SPG gold , previous year was Platinum.
