Gold. Rate did not indicate breakfast but as mentioned all paid rates include breakfast. Somebody pointed me to this https://onemileatatime.com/al-maha-award-redemptions/ which would seem they are not allowed to be doing this. Now I gotta figure out what to do.

The rate clearly has to mention it.

Still not clear but doesn’t sound like your right. Sounds like you can’t be getting less than paid rate on any points booking.

I emailed Gary about the Renaissance TLV not having rates without breakfast besides awards. Doesn't seem like it's clear cut at all.

Reserve and call the hotel to add the person's name who will be checking in.

Is Marriott supposed to have blackout dates for awards? Just looked for residence Surfside for a couple days in January and I see the base room available (studio king) but won't let in points bookings. I also checked random April dates, and the same room is available for 25k.

Residents Surfside is notorious for doing this and they know it.
There is usually away around if there is a base room available.

PA RES with hotel having X award availability = normal rate.

Wondering if its just hotel blocking space so it really goes with the occupancy or, default its that way.

Do I have any recourse if Marriott is playing games with my reservations made before the categories went up? They cancelled one reservation and points went up on others and nobody is willing to help. I have printed reservation confirmations.
