I had and old Buick the I got $250 from a junk yard over a year ago.Recently someone i know only got only $100 for a similar car because the price of metals have fallen.

My experience: 1) The "maximum tax deduction" is $250. Which in the highest tax bracket gives a reduction of $83 in taxes.2) The "vacation voucher" requires a $50 fee to activate. That then allows you to request a place in a timeshare at approximately the time you want to go. Request must be made 30-60 days in advance. Don't book tickets yet, until they confirm with you that they have availability.
How long ago was this?
it would have to be really old to get such a low bid. Scrap metal is just a small part of the junk car business. The main business is parts. The parts from a $1500 2002 Avalon can be worth in excess of $5000. Each headlight and tail light assembly can sell for $50. Each door can sell for $150, a trunk or hood for $300. There hundreds of parts on a junk car that are worth thousands of dollars.
Anybody see different?
I had similar (junked 2 cars, one for $300 and one for $50 about 1.5 years later).
Company name pls
+1 but I’ve yet to see anybody give more then like 200,Anybody see different?
