The Do's
Great value grill: Someone please add :)

The Dont's
Don't play with the food on the grill. Flip it once (or twice if need be), that's all.

Be careful. Once your grill gets used you can have one heck of a grease fire and destroy your grill.
I singed my face as a 10 year old (but that was leaving fires on while closing tank valve instead of closing valve then lighting new fire to burn out excess)

Jack Daniels original #7. If we're feeling "healthy" we go for Weber because it doesn't have corn syrup.

Speaking of fish. What kind of fish and how are you grilling it?
I often sear tuna on a chimney starter.

Fill a chimney starter with coals (at least 3 quarters of the way) and newspaper on the bottom. Light the newspaper. Warning this is extremely hot and smoky so make sure it's in a safe place (I usually just put it on top of my gas grill). Come back in 10-15 minutes.

Prepare tuna (about 3/4 to 1 inch thickness). Salt and pepper both sides. Place black and white sesame seeds on a plate. Place the edges of the tuna on the plate so it gets coated with the sesame seeds. Make sure no seeds get on top or bottom of tuna.

Oil or spray small grill grate. Once coals are white hot (about 10-15 minutes since lighting newspaper) place grate on top of chimney starter. Wait 2 minutes for grate to get hot. Place tuna on top of grate. Wait between 15 and 20 seconds (depending on thickness of tuna). Flip. Wait another 15 to 20 seconds. Remove.

Slice and serve on bed of Arugula and truffle oil.

I really like chicken (in bone) grilled. I grill it with indirect heat. Put half the grill on lowest heat and half on highest heat. Place chicken on low heat side. I usually flip once at most twice. Takes a really long time, (compared to other grill times) at least 20/30 minutes.  It it gets cooked all the way through and is incredibly juicy and the skin gets nice and crispy

I like hot dogs.  Put them on grill,  roll them a few time,  take off when crispy.

Bone in chicken is amazing when done right.
Beer can chicken might be the funnest thing I've grilled.

FYI- I started using sweet baby rays only because they dont contain mustard powder or any sesame/other nut products so its easier for allergy sensitive people. Had people for a bbq a few months ago and found out that 3 were allergic to mustard and they couldn't even eat the salad because it had dried mustard powder in the dressing.

Grilled asparagus and grilled sweet potatoes are awesome!

Actually the biggest problem that I have while grilling for a large party (20+ people) is that I always miss half the party standing over the grill. Can't start grilling too early though because than things get dried out.

What do people do to make sure everything is nice and hot and ready at the start of a large party? Get a really big grill? Start early and keep it warm in the oven (how does it not get dried out)?

Not eat all at once.
When it is with our neighbors we use several grills.

If you eat outdoors, the cooking is right next to the party so you can participate

I also used to make EVERYTHING by each grill and it would get a bit boring.  Lately i make it a little more themed, like one time a few different wings, or all burgers with a bunch of toppings and editions,  grilled chicken done a few ways, variety of steaks...  this keeps it exciting. And doesnt bore me out
